Portales, NM – The Roosevelt County Road Department has opened S. Roosevelt Rd. 4, between S. Roosevelt Rd. O and S. Roosevelt Rd. P. Work will continue on this roadway as it is enhanced to a chip sealed road from caliche as part of a Local Government Road Fund Grant. This road improvement is expected to be completed by Nov. 8, weather permitting.
The Road Department will begin work again on three miles of S. Roosevelt Rd. W, from US 70 to S. Roosevelt Rd. 12. This work is expected to be completed by Nov. 15, weather permitting, and is one of the projects of the NM Dept. of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Disaster Grant.
