The Roosevelt County Clerk’s office is responsible for many things including issuing Marriage Licenses, recording Real Property Records, administrating Elections, maintaining Voter Registration files, issuing Business Licenses for business in the unincorporated areas of the County, recording Military Discharges etc., and the Clerk’s office also serves as the County Clerk of the Probate Court.

2024 Primary and General Local Election Proclamation (Spanish)
The County Clerk’s Office will begin tabulator certification Tuesday September 24, 2024 at 9:00 am and continue working through Thursday September 26, 2024 or until all 17 tabulators have been tested and certified for the 2024 Primary. Certification will take place in Roosevelt County Courthouse basement, during normal business hours. The public is cordially invited to witness the preparation of the voting tabulators.
Election Results will be available through the New Mexico Secretary of State’s Website. Following the close of polls.
Poll Official Election School will be held at the Jake Lopez Community Center at 2:00 pm on Thursday October17, 2024
The 2024 General Local Election will be held on Tuesday November 5, 2024. The following is the list of election day Voting Convenience Centers where Roosevelt County residents may cast a ballot.

Requirements to register to vote: You must be 18 years of age. You must be a United States Citizen and a resident of Roosevelt County.

**Notice** Documents recorded in the office of the county clerk are public records, subject to inspection and disclosure. Courtesy searches will be conducted at the discretion of the County Clerk. Searches and services that require the devoted attention of an employee (i.e.: companies scanning documents using their own equipment and/or redacting for a private vendor) will be charged at a rate of $20.00 per hour.
