Roosevelt County will host two public meetings on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 14, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. to seek public input for the 2024-2028 Roosevelt County Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP). The meetings will be held in the Commission Room on the first floor of the Roosevelt County Courthouse. Residents are encouraged to participate.
The ICIP, is a project listing prioritizing the County’s capital projects for the period of five years. The plan requires public input. Each project includes an implementation plan and estimated costs over the five year plan to assure validity. The existing plan will be reviewed with changes and updates following the public meetings. The County will process, prioritize and determine those among the top five to submit as funding priorities for the coming year. This will also include the County’s five year road enhancement program.
The Road Department will host a public meeting on Thursday, July 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Room following the ICIP meeting. The Road Department is seeking recommendations for the 5-Year Road Rehabilitation Plan. Click here to view the current plan as it is posted on the County’s website under the Road Department. The 5-Year Road Plan prioritizes future rehabilitation projects and will be used to seek grant funding and legislative capital outlay. The public is encouraged to attend and provide input. If you’re unable to attend the public meeting, please email your public input to rcrd@rooseveltcounty.com or by mail to 109 W. First St., Portales, NM 88130 by 4:00 pm on July 21, 2021.
